How Does Express Teleconferencing® Work?
Most people think of Telstra Conferlink when it comes to teleconferencing. Our teleconferencing equipment is made by the same people that make Telstra's equipment, yet our invoice reports are much more detailed. We house our equipment in a secure, fully redundant telehousing facility and connect our equipment directly onto the Public Telephone Network, the same as Telstra does. We then have total control over the management of our equipment, independent of Telstra's service, so that we are in total control of the quality of service delivered. Our own invoicing system provides you with per caller and per conference detailed information.
Once you register with Express Teleconferencing you will be provided with a number of different ways to access our system. You can reach our service by calling any one of the following:
- A dial in number in each capital city (NT , ACT and Gold Coast included)
- An Australian toll free number which is free to the conference delegates (ie the host pays for their call into the service)
- International toll free numbers in 39 countries.
- If you have a participant who needs to be connected by an operator just let us know the conference details and we'll arrange it for you, all part of our VIP service
- The Host Access code which is your authority to set up a conference. This Access code effectively opens the teleconference “door”. No one can conduct a teleconference without the Host Access code being used.
- The Guest Access Code is provided to all the people you wish to attend the meeting. This code can be freely circulated as a conference cannot take place without the Host Access code
To set up a conference call you communicate the meeting time, the dial in number and the Guest Access code. As guests enter the conference they are greeted and then put on hold until the Host arrives. Once the Host enters the conference all the guests will be brought into the conference call.
